Bengaluru Ganesha Utsava by Sri Vidyaranya Yuvaka Sangha is a blast of an experience to wait for every year.

This year Bengaluru Ganesh utsava 2022 locations are 3 locations to commemorate the 60th BGU celebration.

Sri Vidyaranya Yuvaka Sangha calls it as the Diamond Jubilee Celebration of Bengaluru Ganesha Utsava 2022.

This time, Bangalore Ganesh Utsav 2022 Program List was kept secret to attract more suspense in the minds of the big audience!

The team started revealing one poster after another to show their FB fans with 1,10,137 followers and Youtube with 1.14 Lakh subscribers to create suspense and thrill.

So this year Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava 2022 Schedule started on 13th August 2022 and lasts till 9th September 2022.

We may divide Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava 2022 Schedule into Pre Ganesh Utsava and Post Ganesh Utsava.

Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava 2022 Date:

As we already discussed, Bengaluru Ganesha Utsava’s Pre Ganesh Utsava dates are from 13th August 2022 to 28th August 2022.

Post Ganesha Utsava dates Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava, 2022 are from 31st August 2022 – 9th September 2022 of what is revealed.

In case there are more additions to this we’ll update the schedule accordingly.

Pre Ganesh Utsava Program Schedule 13 – 28 Aug 2022:

Sadarame Drama by Spandana Troupe directed by B.Jayashree on 13th August 2022 at Ravindra Kalakshetra
Hayavadana Drama by Benaka Troupe directed by BV Karanth on 14th August 2022 at Ravindra Kalashetra at 10:45 AM
The same day 14th August 2022 saw another showcase of Subhadra Kalyana Drama by Natana troupe directed by Mandya Ramesh at 6:45 PM in Ravindra Kalakshetra.
Sahasra Narikela Gana Yagna at Shree Shringeri Shankara Matha on 16th August 2022 at 9 AM.
20th August 22 saw a blast by Manju Drums Collective in Orion mall with a theme of Tribute to Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar at 6:30 PM.
Raghu Dixit performed the Musical Night by Raghu Dixit on 21st August 22 in Orion Mall starting at 7:30 PM – 10 PM. This was a blast as Raghu Dixit performed his best songs and new songs from Raghu Dixit’s New Album Sakkare. People jumped, danced, and sang to the tunes of Raghu Dixit. What a magician Raghu Dixit is! He can make anyone sitting stand, dance, and Eradu Steppu Haaku 🙂
21st August 2022 also saw 3 more plays at Ravindra Kala Kshetra:

28th August 2022 was Making of clay seed Ganesha, which was an attempt to make to the pages of Guinness book at the National College Grounds of Basavanagudi. Guinness book of world Records is made and the certificate for the “Most people sculpting with Modelling Clay” is presented to Sri Vidyaranya Yuvaka Sangha. Before we go to the Post Ganesha festival Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava 2022 Schedule, let’s talk about locations.

Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava 2022 Schedule and its locations are grander than ever!

Previously used to have Ganesha idol was kept at APS College grounds and programs at National College Basavanagudi.

But now there are 5 locations for cultural programs and one location for the Ganesha Idol Sthapane!

Bengaluru Ganesha Utsava 2022 has 3 locations for cultural programs for Post Ganesha Utsava and 2 locations for Pre Ganesha Utsava.

Post Ganesha festival, Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava 2022 Schedule:

Starting from 31st August – 9th September 2022.

Some days in Bengaluru Ganesha Utsava has 3 programs in all the locations.

Some big days with very famous stars have 1 or 2 programs.

31st August 2022: Day 1 of Bengaluru Ganesha Utsava

Day 1: 3 Programs scheduled at 2 locations. It’s going to be a great day!

Day 1 Program 1: DEVOTIONAL SONGS by Siddhartha Belmannu at 6:45 PM – 8 PM at National College Grounds, Basavanagudi

Siddhartha Belamannu is a great Hindustani Classical Vocalist.
More than anything Sidhartha is a superb Playback Singer.
He has Forbes’s ‘30 under 30’ special mention in 2021.
More than anything, he is a very great human being.

Siddhartha Belamannu is the Torch Bearer of Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava, 2022 starting the program on Ganesha Festival day and as we call it Post Ganesha Utsava.

Day 1 Program 2: Tha Dhim, Percussion Ensemble by Arun Kumar and Giridhar Udupa at National College Grounds, Basavanagudi.

Arun Kumar is world famous in Bengaluru and especially in Bengaluru Ganesha Utsava. There’s probably no year there is a program without Arun Kumar on drums!
Arun Kumar now being very famous is the flag bearer of musicians in the famous Kannada reality shows Sare Gama Pa of Zee Kannada.
Giridhar Udupa is a world-renowned name and his renditions reach crores of people in India and all the foreign countries!
Giridhar Udupa’s specialty of gathering the missing or least heard magical sounds from Ghatam with his surgery of each part of Ghatam is a magical moment to hear!
Not just that Arun Kumar and Giridhar Udupa got famous for Laya Tharanga and their Konnakkol singing. Both sing Konnakkol like they are at war!
In this program Tha Dhim, they gather a whopping 60 percussionists to create a great program and a feast to taste!

60 Percussionists in National College Grounds of Basavanagudi playing together feels like, the scene from Bahubali’s ferocious scene of artists playing drums and the earth-shaking from the beats!

It’s a must-go on campus and a must-watch on the Facebook and Youtube handles of Bengaluru Ganesha Utsava.

Day 1 Program 3: Bhakti Sangeetha by Lakshmi Nagaraj and Indu Nagaraj at Shri Sringeri Shankara Mutt, Shakarpuram at 7PM.

Lakshmi Nagaraj and Indu Nagaraj are sisters famous as Chilkunda Sisters.
They are daughters of very renowned Vidwan C. A. Nagaraj who is a vocalist and flutist trained in Carnatic Classical Music.
Following the traits of their father, both Lakshmi Nagaraj and Indu Nagaraj are trained Vidushis in Carnatic Classical music.
Indu Nagaraj is a playback singer and a jury from the Zee Kannada SaReGaMaPa reality show.
Lakshmi Nagaraj also is a playback singer and has worked prominently in Sandalwood.
Chilkunda Sisters’ song in Zee Saregamapa was a song that fans had to admire for years to come!

All in all Lakshmi Nagaraj and Indu Nagaraj’s Bhakti Sangeetha on 31st August 2022 at Shri Sringeri Shankara Mutt is a Must Go.

1st September 2022: Day 2 Bangalore Ganesh Utsav 2022 Program List:

Day 2 Program 1: VEENA VADANA By Smt.Revathi Kamath at 7.00 PM at Sri Sringeri Shankara Mutt, Shankarpuram

Vidushi. Revathi Kamath is a successful veena artist and has performed in many places.
She is also well known as an environmentalist and a leading landscaping architect.
With her untiring efforts, she had taken up the work of connecting people with nature by bringing life to a dried-up lake.
Her endeavor in Veena has dragged her to Lahari Music, T Series to record her concerts.
The best of her performance is to be unfurled on 1st September 2022 in front of a huge audience.

Sri Sringeri Shankara Mutt, Shankarpuram will see a musical extravaganza by Revathi Kamath, and is a Must Visit.

Day 2 Program 2: ARMAAN MALIK MUSICAL NIGHT, a Kannada and Hindi Film Songs concert at National College Grounds, Basavanagudi on 1st Sept 2022 starting at 6.45 pm

Bengaluru Ganesha Utsava has seen singers like Shreya Ghoshal, Daler Mehendi, and many more. But this musical night by Armaan Malik is special!
Armaan Malik is a multitude of talents with voiceover, actor, playback singer, music record holder, music director, and many more.
Armaan Malik has sung songs in Hindi, Telugu, English, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Punjabi, Urdu, and Malayalam.
Not just that Sariyaagi Nenapide Nanage from Mungaru Male 2 and Gamyave song from 99 is an all-time favorite song!
Armaan Malik musical night is going to be a blast and it’s a never miss event for Bengalureans!

2nd September 2022: Day 3 Bangalore Ganesh Utsav 2022 Program List:

Day 3 Program 1: Musical Night By Famous playback singer CHITRA & TROUPE at National College Grounds, Basavanagudi on 2nd September 2022 starting at 6.45 pm.

KS Chitra also very lovely nick name Chitramma is very famous for Sri Chakra Dharige Shira Bagi Laali song.
It’s going to be a blast of a night firstly because of the magical presence of KS Chitra (Chitra Amma).
Moreover, it’s led by Arun Kumar on Drums as a lead to the troupe!
We can hear the best of musicians like Anuradha Bhat, Shreya Bhat, Sri Harsha, Ajay Warriar, Siddhartha Belamannu, and Vinay Nadig on vocals.
Can we forget the musical humming which starts just by the presence of KS Chitra amma?
More than anything, its Chitra Amma’s cute smile which is a must watch!
Is it going to be a blast of a night? Absolutely Yes.

Day 3 Program 2: “BHAKTI SANGEETA” By Lopamudra & Troupe on 2nd Sep 22 at 7PM at Sri Sringeri Shankara Mutt, Shankarpuram

Experienced singer Smt.Lopamudra and team would perform a Bhakthi Geethe program.
Not to forget Lopamudra ji has performed in the perimeter covering all parts of India.
Famous Shastriya Sangeetha artist would perform her best in every concert!

Day 4 Program 1: Mahesh Kale and Abhishek Raghuram Classical, Semi Classical & Abhangs Concert on 3rd Sept 2022 at National College Grounds, Basavanagudi starting at 6.45 pm

Mahesh Kale a very renowned Hindustani Classical Vocalist is well known for his very famous for Semi Classical and Devotional Music.
Mahesh Kale is also a very famous Playback singer with a feather of Best Playback singer award at the 63rd National Film Award program.
Abhishek Raghuram is a very well-renowned Carnatic classical singer hailing from a family of musicians.
Abhishek Raghuram is an awarded best-known vocalist and a Mridanga artist himself!
Both Hindustani and Carnatic Classical together on a stage is a culmination of music and genres!

A must-visit and a must-watch program on 3rd September 2022 is the Classical, Semi Classical, and Abhang program by Abhishek Raghuram and Mahesh Kale at National College grounds, Basavanagudi at 6:45 PM.

Nagendra Nayak of Belthangadi is a well-known and upcoming artist.
His Bhakti Sangeetha has reached the big mutts and temples.
You’ll hear the best of Devaranamagalu in his show.

4th September 2022: Day 5 Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava Programs:

Day 5 is a very big day and we’ll see 3 programs in 2 locations. And of course, adrenaline rush All the Way UP, ALL the WAY UP!

Day 5 Program 1: BHAKTI SANGEETA By Smt Shantheri Kamath & Team on 4th September 2022, at 7.00 PM at Sri Sringeri Shankara Mutt, Shankarpuram

Smt Shantheri Kamath is a musical prodigy from Udupi.
Well known for her Carnatic musical presentation, she is a renowned face among the Shastreeya Sangeetha enthusiasts.
You’ll hear the best of Carnatic music unfurled in her show.

This program is not available on YT and FB Pages live. It’s an on-premises program only.

Day 5 Program 2: Percussion Ensemble by BEAT GURUS & TROUPE at National College Grounds, Basavanagudi on 4th Sept 2022 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

Its beats, rhythms, flute, dankanaka dancu, steppu, congo, jhambhe, etc, etc! Yappa, fully adrenaline Russhhu!
Beat Gurus famous for multiple percussion instruments are famous for their beats and rhythmic ensemble.
8 percussionists join hands and create an air that is so full of rhythms, beat, and Tappanguchi dancu!

Day 5 Program 3: SHREYA GHOSHAL LIVE in concert at National College Grounds, Basavanagudi on 4th September 2022 starting at 6.45 pm

Shreya Ghoshal is a Bengali and we must all commend, how well, she can pronounce any language and pays tribute to the language and its status!
She recently gave birth to a child and now shows up on pampers ads too!
Very famous for songs with AR Rahman, Shreya Ghoshal is a multiverse language singer.
She is the highest-paid singer in India and the best singer in India to date!
Without a doubt, Shreya Ghoshal Live in concert is the best of all the programs at Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava 2022.

5th September 2022: Day 6 of Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava 2022

Day 6 Program 1: Musical Extravaganza of Kannada Folk Music Led By PRAVEEN D RAO at National College Grounds, Basavanagudi on 5th Sept 2022 at 6:45 pm

Must I say this is going to be a blast? You can clearly see B Jayashree and Gururaj Hoskote very famous musicians of folk music, performing on 1 stage!
At iEvented, we had a concert by Gururaj Hoskote sir perform live at Janapada Raga a folk music program dedicated to Folk Music.
Must say Gururaj Hoskote is the father of Janapada, and at the age of 75, he is a living and breathing Janapada artist that Kannada can never see!
Also, this musical extravaganza is led by Praveen D Rao who is very famous for his musical direction and his dedication to Indian Carnatic and folk music!
It just does not end there! Does it? You will see famous artists Rajguru Hoskote, Shubha Raghavendra, Sadwini Koppa, Chintan Vikas, Pooja Rao, and Savitha perform at the event!
Man this is going to be a blast!

Keerthan Holla got famous after his endeavor and win at the Saregamapa reality show.

Praveen D Rao has worked with very famous Bhaavageethe artists like Mysore Ananthaswamy and Raju Ananthaswamy.
Being from the genre of Bhaavageethe, we can imagine how this musical endeavor to the great magician C Ashwath sir will be.
We’ll hear the greatest voices of Kannada Bhaavageethe like MD>Pallavi, Supriya Raghunandan, Mangala Ravi, Sunitha Murali (famous for Bin Laden nan mava of Jogi), Sri Harsha, and Vinay Nadig.
C Ashwath sir being the greatest music director has sung Kaanada Kadalige and Tharavalla Thagi Ninna Tamburi so well that it’s chiseled in our memory.

Udit Narayan’s Nannali Naanilla and Dholu Dholu Dangura are so familiar and can’t forget the peculiar style of Udit Narayan’s singing style!
Man, is he an artist? No, he is a teleporter. He can port us from Earth to Cloud 9.
His music has left almost no language unturned in India.
He is so famous that he himself had to say, it’s enough to play back sing now due to my age.
Udit Narayan is a gem of a person, as he visits every program he is invited to on time!

All in all, Udit Narayan Musical Night is a MUST Must Must visit the show on the premises of Shalini Grounds on 7th September 2022 though you can see the live telecast on the Youtube channel of BGU.

8th September 2022: Day 9 Program of BGU

Day 9 Program is a Tribute To S P BALASUBRAHMANYAM By DRUMS SHIVAMANI & TROUPE at Shalini Grounds, 5th Block, Jayanagar on 8th Sept 2022 starting at 6:45 pm

Drums Shivamani is famous for his big ensemble of 100s of moving parts to his drums!
Not just that you’ll see Shivamani of drums, you’ll hear Manju Drums, Samanvitha Sharma, Shruthi Bhide, Ajay warrior, Mohan krishna, famous prodigy Rahul Vellal and Sri Harsha!
It’s going to be a blast as we can’t even imagine with the drums of Shivamani, what are so many well known famous singers going to perform and how!

Day 10 Program: VIJAY PRAKASH MUSICAL NIGHT, Kannada Film Songs concert, at Shalini Grounds, 5th Block, Jayanagar on 9th Sept 2022 starting at 6.45 pm

Of course, Vijay Prakash famously called VP will do a lot of experiments.
Purbayan Chatterjee on Sitar, Satyajit Talwalkar on Tabla, and Dilshad Khan on sarangi will play key roles in VPs musical extravaganza.
Obviously, we may see his usual good buddies, Anuradha Bhat, Sri Harsha, and other playback singers join him too.
Arun Kumar who heads the Saregamapa musicians with VP will lead the Background music here too.
